CHRIS WARE GALERIE LAMBIEK Very Rare 16-Page Mini-Comic (1999) ************************************************************ This rare Chris Ware mini-comic was originally produced in 1999, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Amsterdam's Galerie Lambiek - Europe's oldest specialist comic shop. It's publication coincided with an exhibtion of Ware's work at the same venue. The comic features Ware's 'Superman' character (from his ongoing series The Acme Novelty Library), in search of some sort of meaning to his futile existence. Alcohol doesn't help, and neither do prostitutes. Comics, briefly, seem like a possibility, but even they prove to be a baffling disappointment. All seems lost, until one final inspiration... but I won't spoil the punchline! The condition of this item is NM/Like New. It will be packaged between thick layers of card, and fully waterproofed, to ensure that it reaches the winning bidder in exactly the same condition.
