epeddlerswagon Store We are by no means professional comic book dealers. We are placing these rare old comic books to auction as a favour for an old friend, who started the collection as a young boy growing up in the 1940’s. My friend, ever the entrepreneur, grew up working on a farm in west Texas. Like most boys of that age, come Saturday afternoon, he would gather his pennies, earned from the previous weeks work, and head to the local picture show. For all of a one dollar bill, he would buy his popcorn and Coke Cola, watch a good ole western double feature, along with a current events newsreel and comic strip, and enjoy the afternoon in the musty darkness of the ole picture house. With what money he had left after the picture show ended, my friend would head to the local drugstore counter and load up on Western Comics. Treasuring the memories of those “good ole days”, my friend has guarded and babied these old comic books throughout his life. This auction is indeed a “bitter/sweet” undertaking on my friend’s part, as he has long held his collection dear to his heart. It is with this tale in mind that we must have an “absolutely no return policy” relating to these comic books, as once these books are out of his possession, he feels they are but fond memories and no longer belong to him.
