MAD #30-12/56–FIRST ALFRED E. NEUMAN COVER BY MINGO-VG Picture(s) and Description:

Offered here, from December 1956, is issue #30 of MAD MAGAZINE, edited by ALBERT B. FELDSTEIN and published by WILLIAM M. GAINES. This issue has 52 pages and a cover price of 25 cents. Contributing artists include Jack Davis, Will Elder (last appearance in MAD), Wallace Wood, Norman Mingo, Bob Clarke, Phil Interlandi, Don Martin (second issue as a regular) and Reed Crandall. This issue contains parodies of Disneyland and Elvis Presley and features the first Alfred E. Neuman cover by NORMAN MINGO. This copy is in Very Good condition. There is a split of about 2 1/2" at the top of the spine on the covers, and there is a tear of under 1" by the bottom end of the spine on the back cover. The spine has light to medium general wear otherwise. The staples are still clean. The cover surfaces are clean and reflective with light general soiling wear, and a faint amount of soiling is visible on the top section of the front cover. The pages are somewhat tanned, but they are complete and in sturdy and supple reading condition with minimal signs of wear. Please check my pictures to get a better idea of the condition of this item. Shipping for one magazine by First Class Mail is $3.00 with a 25 charge for each additional magazine won.
