11.5" x 5" - ink and watercolor on Bristol board by Patrick McDonnell 2009 Few comic strips delight readers as much as Mutts. The daily saga of Earl and Mooch are drawn in such a unique and care-free way that suggests an innocence on the comics page while exuding a certain artistic hipness. McDonnell reminds us that comic strips can indeed be a true art form, and has been doing so since he debuted his charming strip in 1994. This is a rare opportunity to own Mutts original art. Patrick releases very few originals into the wild, and we are grateful for the donation to help Matthew. This amazing daily strip was published on March 30, 2009. When this comic appeared in newspapers, it was beautiful in just black and white, but Patrick has elegantly added watercolor paint to the piece that will look stunning in a frame on your wall.
