23" x 30" - mixed media on mat board by Drew Struzan 2009 Drew Struzan's artwork has been a defining force in pop culture for over thirty years. His brilliant illustrations for movie posters inspire our attendance, and often provide us with a lingering smile of a fond memory for the experience. Among his memorable images are the posters for the Indiana Jones series, the Back to the Future trilogy, the Star Wars series, the Muppet movies, The Goonies, and many more. His work has also appeared on books, comics, album covers, advertising, board games, and even U.S. postage stamps. Few artists of our day have had as much of an influence on popular culture as Drew. His original art is collected by people such as George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Frank Darabont, and now you! This beautiful original art is a large unpublished illustration that Drew created within the past year for his own enjoyment. His masterful drawing skills are on full display as he draws this ape family living life in the wild with the head of the family looking squarely at you ready to protect his charges from whatever danger you may present. Drawings such as this by Drew can go anywhere from $5000-$10,000 (we sold one last year at a live auction for $6000).
