You are looking at the Tom Mix Comic Book #1 from 1940 - 1942. These comic books were issued by the Ralston Purina, Co. This one was their first issue, a rare find. You would send in 1 box top along with 5 cents to get one book through the mail. They would come unwrapped through the mail. So finding ones that were not damage from the mail delivery in such great condition is almost impossible. This comic book has very vivid colored covers with no spline wear. The book lays very flat. There is a little yellowing on the white pages. There is a light musty smell to it because it was sitting in a box undisturbed for over 65 years. Out of 1 to 10 scale, I would have to say it would be between a 7 - 9. The comic book is complete with all pages and all original. I do have Tom Mix Comic books 1 through 11, all in seperate auctions. So please take a look at the rest. They are all in great shape. In the pricing guide, these books are priced between $600 and $1500 each. These are a very rare find to find these in such great shape. They all have mailing labels on the back cover and some have the mailing closure tabs. These comic books are a very rare find and needs a great collector's home. I am sure you would be happy with it.
