Autographed Venom: Lethal Protector #.1 Black Foil Cover Misprint Hello! This is a copy of the first issue of Marvel's Venom: Lethal Protector with the very rare black foil misprinted cover. I understand that this comic book is hard to find, so I will explain the condition in as much detail as possible with a heavy focus on perceivable flaws, and I will add lots of photographs. My father bought this comic book way back in 1993 and has had it sealed inside a plastic jewel case ever since. This comic book has been kept in a drawer and was never exposed to light, so it is still in excellent condition. It was never read or really even leafed through. The book was taken to a comic book convention in 1993 or 1994 and was signed by Mark Bagley on the very first page of the inside of the comic book (see pictures below). The cover is still in great condition with very few flaws. The areas around both staples are in excellent condition, no tearing of the paper or creases that can be seen. There is a light crease coming from the spine underneath the price box and is about one sixth of an inch long. There is another light crease near Venom's hand, also coming from the spine, and this one is about one fourth of an inch long. Neither of these markings are "white" and blend in with the background colors. Otherwise, the spine looks to be in excellent condition to me. The edges of the comic book on all four sides are still very crisp and clean, with no fraying of the paper or rubbing of the edges. The bottom right corner of the cover has a small white crease going across it near the very edge, as though the very tip of the corner got folded back at some point. There is something like a shelf wear marking near the right edge of the cover around Venom's hand, but I can only pick this out when I hold it up under a lamp. I don't see any fingerprints or anything like that. The book is still very stiff and feels newly printed when you hold it. The interior pages are still glossy and bright white, no color fading at all. The back cover is also in great condition and does not appear to have any noticeable shelf wear markings. The back cover does not appear to have any spine creases at all, but there is a weird sort of marking around the top staple that seems to be something like the paper beginning to set into the shape of the staple--it's hard to describe but does not appear to be a proper crease. The coloring of both covers is probably still perfect, as this book was always stored in darkness. There are no rips, no pen markings, no stains, nothing like that of any kind. I wish that I had the time to send this in and be professionally graded, but I've hit hard times financially, and my father has given me this comic book to sell online. I've tried to inspect this comic book as closely as possible and mention every single "imperfection" that I could pick out. Feel free to ask me any question, no matter how detailed.
